We are Pro Patria Council  # 751 of the Knights of Columbus.  

     Pro Patria Council # 751 is located above St. Margaret's School on W.260th St.in the North  Riverdale section of The Bronx, New York. For over 100 years, our council has served as the fraternal headquarters for thousands of Catholic men, first in Manhattan and now, for the past 60+ years, in the North West Bronx.  While the council is located in St. Margaret's parish,  the Knights of Pro Patria Council are not only parishioners of  St. Margaret's but of the neighboring parishes of St.John's, St.Gabriel's and Visitation as well. Several members who have moved out of the area are still very active in the Council.

     Our web site has been created under the direction of  Grand Knight Joseph Haneman and Deputy Grand Knight Peter Hoey. It is dedicated to the memory of those who came before us, especially to those members who have given their lives to protect our freedom and way of life. A special dedication is in memory of the innocent men and women who so tragically lost their lives on 9/11/01.  It is our  hope and desire that all who view our web site will leave with the knowledge that the vision of Father Michael J. McGivney is being fulfilled, more than 115 years after he founded our order at New Haven, CT in 1892.

     As we start our second century of service, Pro Patria Council looks forward to continuing our commitment to Our God and His Church.

     The Knights of Columbus have a long and enviable tradition of aid to Catholic education. It is in this tradition that the Knights of Pro Patria Council have taken on the task of aiding the Montfortan Fathers and the Religious of Jesus and Mary  in helping to provide a Catholic education to the children in the towns of Gros Morne and Jean Rabel on the island nation of HAITI.
